What we do

AI automation for manufacturing.

We help factories eliminate paper, manual data entry, and disconnected systems, replacing them with intelligent workflows that learn directly from the floor.

Our software connects machines, ERPs, and people in real time, turning tribal knowledge, production, and quality data into systems that run smoother, faster, and smarter.

Backed by the founders of HubSpot, Typeform, Apollo, Hustle Fund, Brickyard, and more.

Our mission

We are here to reindustrialize America.

That means bringing world-class technology back to the factory floor, empowering operators, restoring pride in American manufacturing, and helping people do their best work again.

We believe great companies are built by great people, together, in person. We train together, eat together, and build products that move the needle for real industries and real people.

About the role

Shape how Harmony feels, product, UI, brand.

As Founding Designer, you will shape the product language, operator interfaces, and editorial voice of Harmony. You will own the visual system, the UI patterns, and the tone that a shift uses every day.

This is not a role for someone who wants to make polished analytics dashboards from a distance. You will design for real factory floors, real operators, real supervisors, and real production environments where clarity, speed, and trust matter. You will work closely with the founders, spend time in factories, and help define how Harmony feels across product, brand, and communication.

Success in this role means building a design language that holds up in the real world, feels sharp and intentional, and becomes core to how Harmony is experienced by customers and by the market.

Do not apply if you
  • Do not care about building for real users in real operational environments.
  • Are unwilling to visit factories and get close to the problem.
  • Want to stay narrowly in one lane and avoid ownership.
  • Do not want to help reindustrialize America.
What you'll do

Own the product. Shape the brand.

Own the product experience.

  • Design operator, supervisor, planner, and leadership interfaces that are fast, clear, and usable in real factory environments.
  • Shape Harmony's visual language across the product, including layouts, interaction patterns, hierarchy, and core UI components.
  • Create interfaces that work on the floor, not just in Figma, with strong attention to readability, speed, and operational context.
  • Work closely with engineering and founders to turn ambiguous real-world problems into clean, production-ready designs.

Shape the Harmony brand.

  • Help define how Harmony looks, feels, and communicates across product, website, hiring, launches, decks, and editorial materials.
  • Build a design system that reflects the company: industrial, sharp, human, grounded, and premium.
  • Extend Harmony's tone and visual language into everything the company puts into the world.
  • Bring consistency across product UI, marketing, brand, and customer-facing materials.

Design close to the work.

  • Spend time in factories observing operators, supervisors, and plant managers to understand how the product is actually used.
  • Use real-world feedback to refine interfaces, workflows, and communication so they hold up in production.
  • Complete at least one deployment within your first 6 months so your work is grounded in the environments we build for.
  • Help make sure every part of Harmony feels built alongside the people who use it.
What we're looking for

Taste, judgment, and range.

  • Strong product design taste with the ability to make complex workflows feel simple, clean, and fast.
  • Ability to work across product, UI, brand, and editorial.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping shape the company, not just executing tickets.
  • Strong judgment on what matters most in a user experience and what can be simplified.
  • Excitement about designing for industrial environments, operational software, and real-world use cases.
Preferred qualifications

What gets our attention.

  • Experience designing production software, operator tools, workflow tools, or systems-heavy products.
  • Ability to think beyond screens and shape the full feel of a company across product and brand.
  • Strong visual design instincts with the ability to create a sharp, differentiated design language.
  • Experience working closely with founders and engineers in fast-moving environments.
  • Willingness to travel to factories and learn directly from customers in the field.
Success metrics

How we measure the work.

  • Product clarity: interfaces are intuitive, trusted, and usable by people on the floor.
  • Design consistency: Harmony develops a clear, ownable visual and product language.
  • Speed to production: designs move quickly from concept to shipped product.
  • Real-world fit: work holds up in live customer environments, not just mockups.
Culture & perks

What you get.

  • Full-time role with flexibility between HQ and remote.
  • Factory visits required, including one deployment during the first 6 months.
  • Weekly team dinners to build connection and community.
  • Gym, sauna, and cold plunge access, plus a personal trainer two times a week. HQ is in Chattanooga, TN.
  • Work directly with the founders every day with full ownership.
  • High-trust, high-intensity environment built on craft, speed, and impact.
