Machine Energy Cost Calculator
Estimate the annual electricity cost and kWh of running your machines, factor in real load, and see what a reduction is worth. Your numbers stay in your browser.

How this is calculated
Straight energy math, all from your inputs. Load factor scales rated power down to what the machines actually draw.
Annual kWh = rated kW × load factor% × hours/day × days/year × machines
Annual cost = annual kWh × price per kWh
Potential savings / yr = annual cost × reduction%
What to keep in mind
- Load factor matters. Rated power is a nameplate maximum. Most machines draw well under it, so the load factor is what makes the estimate realistic.
- Flat price assumed. This uses a single price per kWh. Demand charges, time-of-use rates, and power factor penalties are not modeled here.
- One machine profile. The inputs describe a group of similar machines. Mixed fleets should be run in separate batches and added up.
- Reduction is your assumption. The reduction slider is an expectation, not a guarantee. Use figures you can defend.
Energy waste often tracks with idle and downtime that never made product. See where run time is lost with the OEE calculator and the machine downtime guide, or size the broader operational payoff with the manufacturing ROI calculator.
See energy and run time on one live layer
Harmony connects your machines, systems, and paperwork into one real-time operational layer, no rip-and-replace, so energy draw and idle time become visible and actionable. Read the CLS case study.
